Anna-Kristin Stössel

Since 2019, Anna-Kristin Stössel has been employed as a student assistant in the Invertebrate Working group, primarily involved in the preparation of lectures, tutoring, and creating of scientific illustrations for various publications & projects.

During her bachelors, she worked on Indian Amber, focusing on the morphological description of a termite from early Eocene Indian Amber for the bachelor’s thesis in 2021.

Currently, she is working on her Master Thesis under the supervision of Dr. Bastian Mähler within the Invertebrate working group. The research is focused on the taphonomy of spiders in Baltic and Dominican amber.
